We already know that J. Cole gets personal on "Let Nas Down," from his latest album Born Sinner, a song about how he disappointed his Illmatic idol when Cole dropped his radio single "Work Out." But while J. Cole took the "Big Brother"
route on the original version Nas jumps on the remix to let the world
he know that Cole doesn't let him down--he makes him proud.Instead of
echoing Cole's original sentiment, Nas explains that Cole is is one of
the best hopes for the new generation of rappers. God's Son drops some
gems of wisdom from an OG's perspective and even recounts his own rise
as a young prodigy. Listen to Nas's amazing autobiographical verse on J.
